Ireland and Birmingham striker Clinton Morrison will be sidelined for a month to have surgery on a knee injury picked up in the Republic of Ireland’s 0-0 draw with France at the weekend.

Ireland and Birmingham striker Clinton Morrison will be sidelined for a month to have surgery on a knee injury picked up in the Republic of Ireland’s 0-0 draw with France at the weekend.

The club have revealed Morrison requires an operation on a cartilage problem which forced him off the Stade de France pitch on Saturday evening.
