Finnan has faith in Ireland's chances

Steve Finnan believes the Republic of Ireland can qualify directly for the World Cup finals after recently setting themselves high standards.

After the euphoria of gaining a well-earned point from a goalless draw against France in Paris on Saturday, Ireland must now turn their attentions to the seemingly more mundane matter of a Lansdowne Road clash against the Faroe Islands on Wednesday.
