Dublin City manager Roddy Collins will have Shaun Byrne available for his relegation-threatened side as they take on Waterford United at Tolka Park tonight (7.45pm).

The former West Ham United midfielder and Irish youth international left the club just four matches into his Vikings career last month to return home to England, where he had continued to live.

He signed a deal with Nationwide South League side Hornchurch but is still awaiting international clearance to play for the Essex side and is therefore still available to the Vikings, according to the club’s website.

City will be without Carlton Palmer and Efan Ekoku but Collins does have midfielder Adam Rundle fit despite carrying a knock suffered in training while Tony ‘Toccy’ O'Connor is also clear to play after recovering from a leg injury.

FAIreland Cup finalists Waterford must continue to do without Pat Purcell in their defence owing to a foot injury and there is a question mark over the participation of leading scorer Daryl Murphy.

The striker may not start, having played for the Irish U21s in Troyes against France on Friday night.
