Rovers crocked trio set for return

Blackburn’s injured trio David Thompson, Andy Todd and Irish international Steven Reid have all returned to full training this week after long absences.

Rovers assistant manager Mark Bowen told the club website, www.rovers.co.uk: “We have had four very physical days and they have all come through with no setbacks. They have each shown a general improvement on each day.”

The trio are expected to play for the reserves against Leeds next week.

Meanwhile, defender Craig Short is making progress with his recovery from ligament damage and could be back after the international break.
