Radebe given testimonial

Leeds defender Lucas Radebe has been awarded a testimonial at the end of the season.

Leeds defender Lucas Radebe has been awarded a testimonial at the end of the season.

The 35-year-old, sidelined after suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon against Wolves in August, will have completed 10 years at Elland Road when the campaign ends.

“It really is a great honour for me,” Radebe told the club’s official website, www.lufc.co.uk. “It’s great that people appreciate my dedication to the club and it might also be the best way to say goodbye to everyone who has supported me over the years.

“I hope there is a big crowd. I’ve had a great time here because people have been so good to me.

"Leeds is my second home now and I’m grateful this decision has been made and we can crack on with the work.”
