Perez backs Owen

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has given a vote of confidence to out-of-form striker Michael Owen.

The England star has come under fire after failing to score since his arrival at Madrid this summer, but Perez has leapt to Owen’s defence, by reminding everyone that he is not the first ‘galactico’ who has struggled to adapt to life at the Bernabeu.
