The sides meet again at United Park on Tuesday night to decide who plays Waterford in the FAI Cup final after this desperately disappointing semi-final at Flancare Park.

A more composed Drogheda will be the unhappier side as they created all the chances - Town failed to get a shot on target during the 90 minutes.

Town keeper Stephen O’Brien had to make a good stop from Gary Cronin while Andy Myler hit a post with a 20-yard free-kick in the first half.

Drogheda’s Barry Molloy fired wide from the best move of the match early in the second half.

Town's best chance fell to Sean Dillon late on but he blazed over the bar.
