Farrelly stays on sidelines for Longford
Bohemians player-manager Gareth Farrelly will resist temptation to throw himself into the fray tonight as his rejuvenated side face Longford Town at Dalymount Park (7.45pm).
Former Republic of Ireland midfielder Farrelly made his first appearance for Bohs since succeeding Stephen Kenny as boss when he came on in the 85th minute against Cork City last Friday night.
A hamstring injury has kept him away from first-team action since taking over at Dalymount last month but the former Bolton player will continue to keep himself in reserve against Longford.
Longford manager Alan Matthews welcomes back John Martin after a bout of concussion and Barry Ferguson following a thigh problem. Both players missed last week’s surprise win over title-chasing Drogheda United.
