Monaghan deducted three points

The eircom League today announced Monaghan United have been deducted three points for playing a suspended player.

United played Jimmy Fullam in their eircom League First Division match away to Athlone Town on Friday, September 3.

The decision to deduct the three points - which sees Monaghan plummet to the very bottom of the league - was taken at last night's eircom League Board of Control meeting.
