Irish clubs may enjoy easier Champions League draw

Shelbourne's European run could help next year's Irish representatives in the UEFA Champions League qualifying round enjoy an easier draw.

After last night's UEFA Cup First Round First Leg fixtures, including Shelbourne's 2-2 draw with Lille, the eircom League is ranked 38th out of 52 UEFA national leagues.
