Wolves cleared in freak firework probe

Wolves have been exonerated of any blame following the firework accident which injured a supporter before kick-off at last season’s Premiership game with Newcastle.

Prior to the 1-1 Molineux draw with the Magpies on November 29, a firework which had been ignited as part of a pre-match display strayed off course before hitting and injuring Wolves fan Denise Butler who was in the Billy Wright Stand.
