Shels clash with Lille over match time

Shelbourne have expressed their disappointment with Lille following discussions on the timing of next Thursday's UEFA Cup 1st Round, 1st leg clash in Lansdowne Road.

At a press conference today club chairman Finbarr Flood indicated that it was proving difficult to confirm a time with the opposing club.

“We are disappointed with the co-operation we are receiving from the Lille club," he said.

"As a result of French television no longer covering the game we requested a later time to accommodate more fans to Lansdowne Road. We are surprised that Lille did not facilitate our request."

The club also revealed a special ticket price discount for clubs. A club can avail of a rate for three adults and up to 15 schoolboys/girls for €120. The standard adult price is €20 and a child’s ticket will be €10.

Mr Flood added that he was hopeful that an agreement on the timing could be reached quite soon.
