Blues may rest internationals

Jose Mourinho is set to rest some of his jet-setting Chelsea stars against Aston Villa following the exertions of an international double-header.

The Blues boss was left with just four players during the 15-day break as Chelsea’s internationals went around the world to represent their countries.

Didier Drogba has recovered from a knock picked up while playing for the Ivory Coast and will travel to Villa Park for the lunchtime clash but Wayne Bridge could be rested and there is still unlikely to be a place for Damian Duff.
