Gaardsoe returns for Reds test

West Brom defender Thomas Gaardsoe is back from ankle ligament damage and striker Geoff Horsfield has recovered from hamstring and back niggles in time to make the squad for the trip to Liverpool.

And midfielder Jason Koumas is also in line for a recall having completed a four-match ban, while new recruits Robert Earnshaw, Junichi Inamoto and on-loan Atletico Madrid defender Cosmin Contra could make their debuts.

Midfielder Andy Johnson is struggling to recover from a hamstring problem while defender Darren Moore (knee), Rob Hulse (stomach strain) and Larus Sigurdsson (knee) are all sidelined.
