Rovers appoint caretaker coach

Shamrock Rovers have appointed U21 manager Noel Synott as first-team boss until the end of the season following the departure of Liam Buckley on Monday.

In a statement on the club’s website, Rovers added: “Liam O'Brien will continue as head coach. The Board of SRFC will select a permanent replacement in due course.”
