Derry City gave outings to three new players in their 4-0 friendly win over Limavady United ahead of Saturday night’s trip to Longford Town.

All three signed for new manager Stephen Kenny on transfer deadline day on Tuesday and made their City debuts that night at the Brandywell in a comprehensive win over their Irish League opponents.

Former keeper David Forde has rejoined from West ham United, former Irish U19 winger Killian Brennan signed from Dublin City and scored twice against Limavady and Ruaidhri Higgins has moved home from England after being released by Coventry City this summer.

Meanwhile, Derry boss Kenny has allowed striker Gareth Mullan join Limavady.
