Angulo chooses Gunners

Spanish midfielder Miguel Angel Angulo expects to complete his move from Valencia to Arsenal today.

Angulo has revealed he was also courted by Chelsea but chose Highbury ahead of Stamford Bridge because of his regard for Gunners manager Arsene Wenger.

“Chelsea were interested in me, but I chose Arsenal,” the 27-year-old confirmed.

“I don’t know Wenger personally, but my opinion of him is very positive. He is a great coach who employs modern systems in English football.

“He is one of the best coaches in Europe.”
