Saints ease worries with home win

St Pat’s eased their relegation worries with this vital win.

Aidan O’Keeffe gave them the lead on 17 minutes with a terrific goal. Keith Fahey picked him out down the right and O’Keeffe cut inside to curl a super shot past Dan Connor and into the top corner of the net.

Robbie Doyle scored on his return to the club to double their lead on 55 minutes. Stephen Quigley crossed from the right and Doyle’s header went in off the crossbar.

Blues battled back late on and Jose Quitongo gave them hope with a goal on 85 minutes, but St. Pat’s held out to move 11 points clear of rock bottom Dublin City.
