Today’s first round draw in Monaco paired eircom League side Shelbourne, whose quest to reach the Champions League was ended on Tuesday by Deportivo la Coruna, against French League side Lille.

Newcastle will begin their UEFA Cup campaign with two ties against BNEI Sakhnin. Bobby Robson’s men with the Israeli side, with the first leg taking place in the north-east on September 16.
