Robson rebuts resignation talk

Newcastle manager Bobby Robson will not walk away from St James’ Park as the pressure mounts on his underachieving side.

Robson attended a meeting with chairman Freddy Shepherd first thing yesterday morning as speculation grew that his reign could be coming to an end in the wake of Wednesday’s hugely-disappointing 2-2 draw with Norwich.
