Hendrie could make return

Aston Villa could have Lee Hendrie back in their midfield for tomorrow’s Barclays Premiership clash with Newcastle at Villa Park.

Hendrie has missed the last two games after damaging his shoulder in the opening match of the season against Southampton.

Villa have goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen under treatment for the knee problem that he suffered during Villa’s 3-0 defeat at Charlton on Wednesday.

Scans on Sorensen’s knee showed no major damage but he suffered bruising. Stefan Postma is on alert to step in if Sorensen is ruled out.
