Leeds’ Coca-Cola Championship clash with Watford at Elland Road next Tuesday has been postponed because of international call-ups.

Leeds’ Coca-Cola Championship clash with Watford at Elland Road next Tuesday has been postponed because of international call-ups.

Goalkeeper Scott Carson and defender Matthew Kilgallon have been included in the England Under-21 squad while Henry McStay is in the Republic of Ireland Under-21 party.

“We sincerely regret having to take this course of action at such late notice, but Scott Carson’s call-up means we really have no alternative as we need our strongest squad available at all times,” chief operating officer Shaun Harvey told the club’s official website, www.leedsunited.com.

“We apologise to all those fans who will be inconvenienced by this, in particular those who have already made travel arrangements.

“At present, we are speaking with Watford Football Club regarding a suitable date to rearrange the fixture, which will now hopefully take place at some point during November.”
