Mourinho makes one change
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has revealed he is ready to make just one change in the starting line-up for tomorrow’s Barclays Premiership trip to Birmingham.
Tiago is available but the change could come up front with Dutch star Mateja Kezman coming in for either Didier Drogba or Eidur Gudjohnsen – whom Mourinho saw score, as captain, for Iceland in the 2-0 midweek friendly against Italy.
Damien Duff could figure on the bench after proving his fitness with Ireland while Glen Johnson may also be involved, but Romanian striker Adrian Mutu pulled out with a muscle strain and new signing Arjen Robben (ankle) remains on the sidelines.
Provisional squad: Cech; Ferreira, Gallas, Terry, Bridge, Geremi, Makelele, Lampard, Smertin, Drogba, Kezman, Gudjohnsen, Parker, Carvalho, Tiago, Duff, Kneissl, Cudicini.
