Drogheda showed great resolve to move a point clear at the top of the Premier Division table for 20 hours at least as they finished the game with ten men.
Defender Steven Gray was dismissed 12 minutes from time following an off the ball incident with Bohs’ striker Dominic Foley.
Bohs created the better chances throughout the game with James Keddy setting the tone when forcing an early save from Gary Rogers.
Glen Crowe rattled the visitors' bar on the hour with Dave Morrison also seeing a cross strike the woodwork as Drogheda held out for a vital point.
