Middlesbrough boss Steve McClaren will hand debuts to three new signings for tomorrow’s Premiership opener against north-east rivals Newcastle at the Riverside.

Middlesbrough boss Steve McClaren will hand debuts to three new signings for tomorrow’s Premiership opener against north-east rivals Newcastle at the Riverside.

Jimmy Hasselbaink, Ray Parlour and Michael Reiziger, who has recovered from a shoulder injury sustained in pre-season, should all start against the Magpies.

Another of McClaren’s new boys Mark Viduka, however, is sidelined as the Australia international serves a two-match suspension to start the season.
