Murphy looks set for Spurs

Liverpool have accepted a bid from Tottenham for England international midfielder Danny Murphy.

The north London club have made an offer in the region of £3m (€4.5m) for the 27-year-old former Crewe player.

Liverpool head of press Ian Cotton said: “I can confirm that Liverpool have accepted an offer from Tottenham Hotspur for Danny Murphy.”
