Vikings step in to save friendly
Dublin City have stepped into the breach to give English non-league side AFC Sudbury a friendly match in the capital tomorrow afternoon.
The East Anglian side were due to meet Shelbourne at Tolka Park but the eircom League leaders have a Champions League qualifier with Deportivo La Coruna to prepare for next week and the Vikings have taken their place to save them a wasted trip.
Roddy Collins’ side was due to face Dublin intermediate side Bluebell United but instead the new manager will get to assess his new charges against English opposition at Tolka Park tomorrow (3pm).
