Injury hits Blues and Longford sides
Waterford United and Longford Town play out their own version of last man standing tonight as the injury-hit sides meet in the south-east at the RSC tonight (7.30pm).
Blues manager Alan Reynolds has six players out for the visit of the midlanders with the suspended Kevin Waters and David Breen absent in addition to a quartet of long-term injury victims.
Skipper John Frost has an ankle problem, as does Willie Bruton, while Wayne Fitzgerald is still recovering from knee surgery and Vinny Sullivan is hampered with a groin injury.
Reynolds said Kenny Browne and Kevin O'Brien were also carrying knocks but should be cleared to play tonight.
There is some cheer for the manager, however, with the return of goalkeeper Dan Connor and Mark Clifford to the side following suspension.
Longford, with no win in nine games, face similar problems with Sean Dillon suspended, Darragh Sheridan (knee) and Stephen Paisley (knee) out injured and skipper Barry Ferguson doubtful with a thigh problem.
