Rangers sign Vignal on loan from Reds

Rangers have completed the signing of Gregory Vignal on a one-year loan deal from Liverpool.

The French left-back has impressed Light Blues’ manager Alex McLeish in pre-season friendlies against Tottenham and Fulham.

Vignal is also now available for selection for next week’s Champions League third qualifying round, first leg at CSKA Moscow.

Michael Ball is set to leave the Ibrox club, leaving Vignal to battle for the place in defence with Paolo Vanoli.

Rangers director of football business Martin Bain told the Scottish Sun: “I can confirm that Gregory has signed and will join us on a one-year loan deal.”
