Canaries rule out swoop for Moore

Norwich manager Nigel Worthington has ruled out a move for Rangers defender Craig Moore.

Norwich manager Nigel Worthington has ruled out a move for Rangers defender Craig Moore.

The Australia international’s proposed move to Blackburn collapsed yesterday after he failed to agree terms with the club.

Worthington has revealed the player was offered to them but told the Evening News: “Alex McLeish spoke to me to see if I was interested. I said: ’Depending on the overall package’ and the overall package was too expensive for Norwich City Football Club.”

Moore will miss the first month of the season as he has opted to represent his country in the Olympics, a decision which infuriated McLeish who stripped the player of the captaincy at Ibrox.
