Everton lost 3-1 to Mexican side Club America in their final Copa de Tejas match at Reliant Stadium.

Manager David Moyes had watched his side crush Mexican champions Pachuca 5-2 in their opening match, but had only Marcus Bent’s first goal for the club as any consolation against Club America.
