Butt completes move to Newcastle

England midfielder Nicky Butt has completed his move to Newcastle from Manchester United.

Butt has signed a four-year contract with the Magpies and could make his debut in the Newcastle-Gateshead Cup this weekend.

Butt has been given the number four shirt for the forthcoming season, according to the club’s website www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk

He and fellow new signings Patrick Kluivert and James Milner will attend a pre-tournament press conference at St James’ Park tomorrow.

The 29-year-old Butt’s arrival follows the departure of Gary Speed to Bolton.
