Finn strike enough to dump Cork out of cup

Sean Finn hit a stunning goal to put UCD into the third round of the FAI Carlsberg Cup and heap further woe on Cork City’s season.

Finn struck for what proved the winner on 24 minutes.

Robbie Martin laid the ball off for the midfielder and his brilliant left-foot shot from 30 yards flew into the corner of the net even though keeper Michael Devine got a hand to the ball.

Martin should have added to that eight minutes later, but lobbed over the bar when he was one-on-one with Devine.
