Radzinski deal not cut and dried - Coleman

Fulham boss Chris Coleman today denied he has prised Tomasz Radzinski away from Goodison but remains hopeful of signing the Everton striker.

Coleman was first linked with Radzinski in January but stepped up his interest in the Canadian international this summer in a bid to increase his attacking options.

Reports from Goodison this morning suggested the 30-year-old had already completed a medical with Fulham and the club were only waiting for confirmation of the deal from their Premiership rivals.

But Coleman insists one or two stumbling blocks must be overcome before Radzinski moves to the capital.

“Everton have said today that a deal has been done, but it hasn’t. We’re interested in signing him but a couple of things need straightening out first,” he said

“Nothing has been signed yet. I’m hopeful that we can bring him to the club. Generally I don’t talk about players from other clubs even if I am interested in them but our interest is common knowledge now.

“I’d love to have bought Tomasz a month ago but it never happens like that. Ideally we wanted him at the start of pre-season but that wasn’t possible. The medical hasn’t been the problem.

“We’re a lot closer than we were, we just have to wait and see what happens.”
