Rooney on the mend

Everton striker Wayne Rooney has been given the go-ahead to resume light training after his latest visit to a specialist.

The 18-year-old England forward fractured his fifth metatarsal bone in his foot during the Euro 2004 quarter-final against Portugal but now appears to be on the road to recovery.
