Everton agree Cahill fee

Everton have agreed a fee with Millwall for Australian international Tim Cahill.

The 25-year-old midfielder impressed as the Lions reached the FA Cup final last season, only to lose to Manchester United in Cardiff.

Cahill subsequently agreed a £2m (€3m) move to south London neighbours Crystal Palace which was called off after Eagles chairman Simon Jordan objected to the involvement of the player’s agent.

However, it seems Everton have put aside their current boardroom problems to sign the player, whose services they are set to lose during the Olympics as he has been named in Australia’s squad.
