Wolves furious as Bolton 'unsettle' Camara

Wolves manager Dave Jones has accused Bolton of “scandalous behaviour” after the Premiership club renewed their bid to sign striker Henri Camara.

The Molineux club today confirmed Bolton had this week made an increased bid for the Senegal international, who has refused to report for pre-season training because he wants a transfer to a Premiership club following Wolves’ relegation.

Bolton’s new bid, which was an increase of £200,000 (€300,000) based on appearances and the Trotters finishing in the top 10, was flatly refused by the Coca-Cola Championship side.

Camara is due at Molineux on Friday for talks, and Jones and Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey believe Bolton were trying to further unsettle the player.

“Bolton have been told,” he said. "Their chairman has been told by Jez and their manager been told by me what is going to be acceptable (in terms of a fee) and they are still a million miles away.

“I don’t know what they are playing at. They are just making the boy unsettled and they keep upsetting him. I find Bolton’s behaviour and what they are doing scandalous. They should stop messing around. The situation is becoming a bit annoying and now they should put up or shut up.”

He told the club’s official website, www.wolves.co.uk: “They must think that by upping their offer the club will just accept it and let him go. But, the boy is our player and he will be our player.”
