City reject racist 'slur'

Nicolas Anelka and Manchester City officials have put on a united front to reject suggestions that their record signing has been the victim of racial abuse from the Blues support.

A newspaper report today indicated that Anelka thought about quitting City because he had been the victim of racist treatment from his own fans.
