Willie Doyle's hat-trick for UCD saw off Limerick in the eircom League First Division tonight.

Doyle clocked up three goals for the students inside 35 minutes.

Elsewhere Kildare County lead Athlone 1-0 thanks to Darren McKenna's eighth-minute goal, while Sligo Rovers lead Monaghan United 3-0 through goals from Gareth Gorman and Michael McNamara.

In the Premier Division struggling Derry City have taken a 1-0 lead against Shamrock Rovers at the Brandywell.
