Bohs fined over fans' conduct

Bohemians have been fined €100 by the eircom League’s disciplinary commission and warned as to the future conduct of spectators at their Dalymount Park ground.

The punishment is believed to be as a result of events during Bohs’ Dalymount Park league clash with Dublin City on June 18, when match referee Anthony Buttimer had a coin thrown at him and was spat at in separate incidents.

The disciplinary commission also advised Bohs to ensure that adequate security arrangements were in place for the future safety of match officials at Dalymount.

Also in the league's bad books was Derry City central midfielder Eamonn Doherty, who picked up a one-match suspension and €25 euro fine having reached four penalty points. His ban comes into effect from July 21.
