Levante set to seal Harte swoop

Newly promoted Primera Liga side Levante have announced that Leeds’ Republic of Ireland defender Ian Harte will sign for the club tomorrow.

The club’s official website, www.levanteud.com, says Harte will arrive in Valencia at 3pm Spanish time before undergoing his club medical and being officially presented at the Hotel Melia Valencia Palace at midday.

Details of Harte’s contract will be revealed at the press conference, while the departure of the full-back adds to the exodus of players from Elland Road since the end of the season.

Alan Smith, Paul Robinson, James Milner and Mark Viduka have all left the Yorkshire club since the end of last season.
