Viduka passes Boro medical

Leeds striker Mark Viduka is expected to complete his transfer to Middlesbrough early next week after passing his medical at the Riverside.

The 28-year-old Australian international scored 72 goals in 156 appearances for Leeds, who last season were relegated from the Premiership.

“Mark passed his medical and we’re hoping to complete a deal by Monday,” Middlesbrough spokesman Dave Allan told the club’s official website, www.mfc.co.uk.
