Charlton sign Hughes from Birmingham
Charlton have signed former Birmingham midfielder Bryan Hughes on a Bosman free transfer.
Hughes, aged 28, has signed a three-year deal with the Addicks after rejecting the offer of a new contract at St Andrews.
The midfielder – who can also play wide on the left – made 291 appearances, scoring 42 goals, for the Blues since joining them from Wrexham for £1m (€1.5m) in 1997.
Hughes’ signing follows the arrival of Denmark international goalkeeper Stephan Andersen at The Valley last month.
