Djorkaeff rejects Bolton contract offer

Former World Cup winner Youri Djorkaeff has rejected Bolton's offer of a new 12-month contract.

The 36-year-old, who joined Bolton in February 2002 from Kaiserslautern, could now be on his way out of the Reebok Stadium if nothing is agreed.

“I have to make what I think is a professional valuation and that has fallen short of what Youri thinks he is worth,” Bolton boss Sam Allardyce told the Manchester Evening News.

“I expect we will know in the next few days or so if we can get round to sorting it out.”
