Kenny is backing Cork City
Cork City depart for Malmo in the morning with an endorsement ringing in their ears from Bohemians’ manager Stephen Kenny.
Kenny, who oversaw his side’s 1-0 win at Turner’s Cross last night, urged Cork to push ahead and finish the job over their Swedish opposition on Sunday.
“Last Saturday night was an outstanding result for Cork and they deserve a lot of credit for that,” Kenny told the .
“It must have been difficult to come off the back of that and straight into a league game tonight, but they now have a few days before they have to play Malmo and they should be rejuvenated in time.
“Conceding the away goal will make the tie very difficult for Cork, but they have the players and while Malmo won’t roll over Cork are in with a great chance,” Kenny added.
