Lineker: Rooney can be first English all-time great

Former England captain Gary Lineker has declared that Wayne Rooney can become the country’s “first genuine all-time great” player.

That would, at least theoretically, eclipse not only himself, Paul Gascoigne, Jimmy Greaves and Geoff Hurst, but also even the likes of Bobby Charlton and Bobby Moore.
