League Cup semi-finalists Limerick wre brought down to earth tonight as they were torn apart by Galway United in the eircom League First Division tonight.

Limerick's spirits were high after they beat Cork City in an epic quarter-final extra time battle earlier this week.

Galway proved too strong, however. Conor Frawley grabbed a brace for Galway, scoring in the 60th minute and the 83rd minute.

Barry Moran scored Galway's other goal in the 77th minute.

Galway played the final 13 minutes of the game with 10 men after Mike Carty was sent off.
