O'Riordain parts company with Sligo Rovers
Sligo Rovers have announced that they have parted company with manager Don O’Riordain “by mutual consent”.
Leo Tierney will step in as caretaker manager of the eircom League First Division outfit for tomorrow’s game against Bray Wanderers.
The move follows Rovers’ 5-1 home defeat to local rivals Finn Harps in the League Cup quarter-finals earlier this week.
A club statement thanked O’Riordain, saying he "helped establish the club's highly successful youth policy which is envied by many other National League clubs”.
