Alan Reynold's Waterford United have signed Angolan winger Jose Quitongo for the second time in his career.

Waterford United have signed Angolan winger Jose Quitongo for the second time in his career.

Quitongo has signed a contract until the end of the season having left previous club Hamilton Academicals in Scotland.

The midfielder was with Waterford during the 1990s having begun his career as a schoolboy at legendary Portuguese club Benfica.

He left Lisbon in 1995 and as well as the Blues has also played for Darlington, Hearts, Kilmarnock and had three spells with Hamilton.

Quitongo moves straight into the Waterford squad for Friday night’s eircom League Premier Division clash with league leaders Shelbourne at Tolka Park.
