Wanderers Bridge striker gap

Bolton manager Sam Allardyce today snapped up striker Michael Bridges on a one-year contract with the option of another 12 months.

Bridges, 25, spent the second half of last season on loan to Newcastle from Leeds, who were relegated to Division One.

He will officially join Bolton on July 1 after his contract at Elland Road expires.

A Bolton spokesman said: "Michael Bridges has agreed a one-year deal with a one-year option.

“He will sign on July 1 when he is out of contract with Leeds.”

Bridges will be looking to get his career back on track under Allardyce, who has a growing reputation of being a master in that field.
